Grand Opening for New LA County Park
Located in northern Los Angeles County, the City of Santa Clarita will soon open Skyline Ranch Park, its 38th park. Home to about 230,000 residents, Santa Clarita is the third-most populous city in L.A. County and the 17th-most populous in California. Since incorporation in 1987, the City has placed a priority on offering park and recreational facilities and programs. Specifically, the City operates a park system that includes a variety of parks, many of which have basketball and tennis courts as well as baseball, softball, and soccer fields.
Offering spectacular views of the city, the 10.5‑acre Skyline Ranch Park features a shaded playground with inclusive elements, a walking trail, a restroom building, a soccer field, and picnic tables. The park is located in Skyline Ranch, which is comprised of more than 1,200 single-family homes developed by Tri Pointe Homes. Over the past two years, TriPointe has partnered with the City to create this latest addition to Santa Clarita’s park system.
The grand opening ceremony will include a brief speaking program followed by the official ribbon-cutting. Community members can explore the park, filled with family-friendly activities, including a homerun derby on the baseball field and pickleball lessons to basketball games, arts and crafts.
