Locat­ed in north­ern Los Ange­les Coun­ty, the City of San­ta Clari­ta will soon open Sky­line Ranch Park, its 38th park. Home to about 230,000 res­i­dents, San­ta Clari­ta is the third-most pop­u­lous city in L.A. Coun­ty and the 17th-most pop­u­lous in Cal­i­for­nia. Since incor­po­ra­tion in 1987, the City has placed a pri­or­i­ty on offer­ing park and recre­ation­al facil­i­ties and pro­grams. Specif­i­cal­ly, the City oper­ates a park sys­tem that includes a vari­ety of parks, many of which have bas­ket­ball and ten­nis courts as well as base­ball, soft­ball, and soc­cer fields. 

Offer­ing spec­tac­u­lar views of the city, the 10.5‑acre Sky­line Ranch Park fea­tures a shad­ed play­ground with inclu­sive ele­ments, a walk­ing trail, a restroom build­ing, a soc­cer field, and pic­nic tables. The park is locat­ed in Sky­line Ranch, which is com­prised of more than 1,200 sin­gle-fam­i­ly homes devel­oped by Tri Pointe Homes. Over the past two years, Tri­Pointe has part­nered with the City to cre­ate this lat­est addi­tion to San­ta Clar­i­ta’s park sys­tem.

The grand open­ing cer­e­mo­ny will include a brief speak­ing pro­gram fol­lowed by the offi­cial rib­bon-cut­ting. Com­mu­ni­ty mem­bers can explore the park, filled with fam­i­ly-friend­ly activ­i­ties, includ­ing a home­run der­by on the base­ball field and pick­le­ball lessons to bas­ket­ball games, arts and crafts.
