The RideKC Next sys­tem redesign will launch in 2022, so RideKC is under­tak­ing a large-scale hir­ing cam­paign to ensure the suc­cess of the new sys­tem.

Accord­ing to a press release announc­ing the hir­ing cam­paign, the RideKC Next sys­tem redesign “cre­ates a fre­quent grid, sev­en days a week, to con­nect more peo­ple to oppor­tu­ni­ties.”

“All fre­quent routes will pro­vide ser­vice every 15 min­utes on week­days and Sat­ur­days. It’s going to be a sim­pler, eas­i­er and more effi­cient net­work. RideKC Flex ser­vice will expand and mod­ern­ize north of the Mis­souri Riv­er with app-based book­ing and track­ing,” accord­ing to the release.

Plan­e­ti­zen first picked up news about the sys­tem redesign process when RideKC offi­cials released a draft of the plan  in Novem­ber 2020. Net­work route fre­quen­cies and a map of ser­vice are avail­able online.
