Art Director, Events

Overview

Our team at Aque­nt is seek­ing tal­ent­ed and expe­ri­enced Art Direc­tors, Events to sup­port our Expe­ri­en­tial Mar­ket­ing Agency client. The ide­al can­di­date will have a proven track record in cre­at­ing inno­v­a­tive and impact­ful visu­al con­cepts for large-scale events. This role requires a strong under­stand­ing of both print and dig­i­tal media, as well as the abil­i­ty to seam­less­ly inte­grate them into cohe­sive expe­ri­ences.

Respon­si­bil­i­ties:

• Col­lab­o­rate with cross-func­tion­al teams, includ­ing strat­e­gy, account man­age­ment, and pro­duc­tion, to devel­op cre­ative con­cepts and approach­es.

• Gen­er­ate orig­i­nal design con­cepts and over­see projects from incep­tion to exe­cu­tion.

• Devel­op com­pelling visu­al nar­ra­tives aligned with project briefs, uti­liz­ing words, images, and sketch­es.

• Cre­ate event/theme iden­ti­ty sys­tems incor­po­rat­ing col­or, typog­ra­phy, and imagery (focus on event iden­ti­ty, not exten­sive brand iden­ti­ty design).

• Devel­op sto­ry­boards to visu­al­ize expe­ri­ences and con­tent flow.

• Select props and plants to enhance event envi­ron­ments.

• Pro­vide art direc­tion to design­ers for the cre­ation of var­i­ous cre­ative ele­ments.

• Coor­di­nate design projects with cre­ative project man­agers, event pro­duc­ers, graph­ic pro­duc­ers, and dig­i­tal pro­duc­ers.

• Man­age design assets and approvals through Click Up.

Qual­i­fi­ca­tions:

• 5+ years of expe­ri­ence as an Art Direc­tor with a strong port­fo­lio demon­strat­ing suc­cess­ful large-scale event work.

• Expert knowl­edge of print and dig­i­tal design prin­ci­ples and pro­duc­tion process­es.

• Abil­i­ty to devel­op com­pelling visu­al con­cepts and bring them to life.

• Strong com­mu­ni­ca­tion and col­lab­o­ra­tion skills.

• Pro­fi­cien­cy in design soft­ware (e.g., Adobe Cre­ative Suite).

• Expe­ri­ence with project man­age­ment tools (e.g., Click Up).

• A pas­sion for cre­at­ing immer­sive and unfor­get­table expe­ri­ences.

The tar­get hir­ing com­pen­sa­tion range for this role is $50 to $60 an hour. Com­pen­sa­tion is based on sev­er­al fac­tors includ­ing, but not lim­it­ed to edu­ca­tion, rel­e­vant work expe­ri­ence, rel­e­vant cer­ti­fi­ca­tions, and loca­tion.
