In March of 2009, I pub­lished my first Job­Board­Doc­tor post. Was it any good? Well, you can judge for your­self – but I set out a clear task for myself: I want­ed job boards to be bet­ter. What I promised was to explore how to make job boards bet­ter.

Guess what? Hun­dreds of posts lat­er (about 840, to be exact!), I am still pound­ing away, try­ing to fig­ure out what makes good job boards good, and try­ing to warn you about how to avoid being a bad job board.  At least some of the time, I hope I’ve giv­en you a few ideas and made you look at some of the chal­lenges we face in a chang­ing, expand­ing indus­try.

But you know what? I have always believed – no, I know – that change is good. It’s good for busi­ness­es. It’s good for soci­ety. And it’s good for peo­ple – even job board doc­tors. So I want to let you know that a change is afoot at Job­Board­Doc­tor. I am – bit by bit – exit­ing, and some new doc­tors are mov­ing in. Doc­tors who know stuff I only wish I knew!

Job­Board­Doc­tor has offi­cial­ly been acquired by Catch 22 Group. Nev­er heard of it? Well, you like­ly do know the Co-Founders of Catch 22 Group, Chad Sowash and Julie Sowash. If you don’t know Chad and Julie, allow me to share a lit­tle. Julie has spent the last 13 years build­ing the most suc­cess­ful dis­abil­i­ty-focused niche job­board and con­sul­tan­cy in the world. She also owns and man­ages a series of up-and-com­ing job­boards, and she is ready to lead Job­Board­Doc­tor into the future. Chad, co-host of the wild­ly pop­u­lar Chad and Cheese pod­cast, has 20+ years in the recruit­ment indus­try, and when he isn’t rock­ing the mic or a stage around the world, he advis­es a port­fo­lio of TA Tech start-ups and men­tors start-up lead­ers.

They – along with a team of oth­er doc­tors – will be tak­ing up the man­tle from here and bring­ing new and excit­ing spe­cial­ties to the table.

So count on the same high qual­i­ty con­tent via the blog and newslet­ter. Count on great research and resources. And count on use­ful and in-depth con­sult­ing ser­vices. After all – if one doc­tor is good….well, a team of doc­tors is great!
